Seven port head is now available

Ken Elder and Sons Pty Ltd has developed a 7 port alloy cylinder head for British Leyland "A" series range of    engines to complement our existing 8 port cylinder head.
The seven port head uses the same exhaust manifold stud pattern as the factory cast iron heads and will accept any Long Centre Branch or purpose built extractor designed to fit a cast iron 5 port head.
In the design of the 7 port centre exhaust, significant effort was involved in making the port design the best it could be for siamesed operation. Preliminary results from flow bench testing show a significant improvement in gas flow.

This new cylinder head is available to order now.

Modifications: eight port head

The outer exhaust ports in the eight port head have now been repositioned to replicate the factory five port outer exhaust port position.
By embracing the factory manifold stud pattern for both 7 & 8 port heads, it has simplified the machining for both the 7 & 8 port heads.
The inlet ports on both the 7 & 8 port heads have benefitted from a redesign to improve both the cylinder filling capabilities coupled with a high gas speed to improve Torque and power.
Dynamometer testing will commence soon.

Modifications: optional tappet cover

After recieving some feedback regarding our optional tappet cover we recently made significant changes to the design to allow for compatibility with a greater range of rocker assemblies.
